Notes

"Vic Rashi was a friend of our family. He pitched for the Yankees and wore number 17 starting in 1949 thru 1953 [Editor's Note: He actually began wearing #17 in 1947] when he was replaced by Whitey Ford who returned from the military. He owned a liquor store in my hometown of Geneseo, N.Y. after he retired from baseball. He died in 1988 in Groveland from a heart attack" - Tracy from Groveland, N.Y.
