Memories

Fred R. from Placentia, CA writes: "I was born and raised in the Bronx. I remember the last appearance of the Babe at Yankee Stadium. All my relatives were crowded around our 9" TV. I was born in '41. Even though I was only seven, I will never forget that day. The Babe was in bad shape, and could not talk very well. It was quite a memory. I am still a die hard Yankee fan, even though my folks moved to California in 1951. To me, the Babe was the greatest baseball player in the history of the game. If you don't believe it, you should read his biography. Because that was not the only called shot in his career."
