Drafted: June 7, 1966: Rusty was drafted by the Yankees in the 54th round of the 1966 amateur draft.

Traded: November 27, 1972: Rusty was traded with Jerry Kenney, Charlie Spikes and John Ellis to the Cleveland Indians for Jerry Moses and Graig Nettles.

Highlights

September 26, 1971: Rusty goes 4-for-5 with two doubles, a home run and two RBI in a 3-2 win over the Tigers at Tiger Stadium.  His two run HR off Mickey Lolich in the third tied the game at two.  Roy White's solo shot leading off the sixth proved to be the deciding blow and backed a complete game victory for Fritz Peterson (15-13) and the Yankees' 80th win of the season.
