Facts, Trivia, Memories and More about Johnny Damon

Highlights

June 3, 2006 - Johnny hits a solo home run in the top of the tenth off Baltimore's Chris Ray to give the Yankees what turned out to be the winning run in a 6-5, 10 inning win at Camden Yards. Johnny went 3 for 5 with a stolen base and 2 runs scored on the day.

June 7, 2008 - Johnny enjoys a 6-for-6, 4 RBI day in a see-saw 12-11 victory against the Kansas City Royals. His six hits included a leadoff double in the bottom of the first and five more singles. His final single came in the bottom of the ninth and plated the winning run in a game that saw the Yankees comeback from a 2-0 deficit before they came to bat, a 5-1 deficit in the third, a 10-6 deficit in the seventh and an 11-10 deficit in the 9th. Johnny tied the game at 10 in the bottom of the 8th with a two-run single. With the game tied and Mariano Rivera now on the mound, David Dejesus quickly broke the tie with a leadoff home run on the first pitch. In the bottom of the inning, Jorge Posada lined a one-out home run into the right field stands to tie up the game and hand KC closer Joakim Soria his first blown save of the year. Robinson Cano followed with a groundout before a Wilson Betemit walk and Melky Cabrera infield single set up Johnny's game winning single.
