Memories

John M. from Barnesville, PA writes: "On Sunday, July 18, 1999, I had my little league team from Mahanoy City, PA in a tournament. The previous day I got a call from friends that they had an extra ticket for Sunday's Yankee game. My exact quote was "Who wants to see the Expos?" I changed my mind on Sunday morning and went to the Yankee game. The other managers took the little league team. Was I glad I went to the Yankee game when Orlando Cabrera made the last out to the PERFECT GAME! It made up for the time on Tuesday, May 14, 1996 when I had a ticket for the Yankee/Mariner game, and skipped because I thought I would get home too late to go to work the next day. On that night Dwight Gooden tossed a no-hit game. I saw David Cone's game from the right field stands near Outfielder Ricky Ledee. I was in Section 26, Row C, Seat 9. I have met David Cone since on two occasions and he signed my hat, ticket and a ball for me. He is the greatest guy to meet and talk to. He was really excited that I was at the game. Anytime we have an important game to attend from little league to major league, I wear the hat I wore to the PG - It has magic in it!"
