Trade: April 30, 1989: In one of the more infamous trades in Yankee history, Jesse was acquired from the Toronto Blue Jays for Al Leiter.

Highlights:
August 28, 1990
- Jesse went 4 for 4 with 4 RBI and a stolen base in an 11-3 Yankee win over the Baltimore Orioles in Memorial Stadium.  Jesse's four hits include two singles, his second triple of the year and a two-run homer, his 20th round tripper on the season.  Both the four hits and four RBI were season highs for Barfield.
