Facts, Trivia, Memories and More about Eli Grba

Acquired: On March 14, 1957, the Yankees acquired Eli along with outfielder Gordie Windhorn from the Boston Red Sox in return for OF Bill Renna.

Traded: Well...not exactly traded, but the Yankees lost Eli when he was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in the expansion draft on December 14, 1960.

Memories: Bill M. from St. Augustine, FL wrote to say about Eli, "We have become great friends over the past 7 years. I got to meet him and spend time with him at the 2007 old timers day. Great guy. I talk to him several times a month. Terrrific stories about Yankees, 1960, Casey, Roger,etc., Angels, Gene Autry and much more. Lots of memorabilia from him...A GREAT GUY!"
