Traded: December 20, 1984: Steve was traded with Tim Foli and cash to the Pittsburgh Pirates for Dale Berra, Jay Buhner and Alfonso Pulido.

Highlights

June 6, 1983: With the score tied at 2 against the Seattle Mariners at Yankee Stadium, Steve highlights a 5-run eighth inning with a 3-run inside the park home run off Bill Caudill to give the Yankees a 5-2 lead in what would be a 6-2 Yankee comeback victory.

June 3, 1984: Steve goes 3-for-5 with a home run, double and 5 RBI in a 15-2 rout of the Blue Jays at Exhibition Stadium.
