Memories

Zita C. from Tampa, FL (Originally NY) wrote: "Eddie Lopat, besides being a consistent and reliable winning pitcher, was one of the finest pitching coaches anyone would give his or her eye teeth to work with. I met him after a game in which he had beaten the Cleveland Indians to a pulp for the umpteenth time, just wanting to ask him something about the slider, and his response was to take me aside and show me how to throw a good one. I ended up working with him for almost four years and what I learned from him was nothing short of priceless. He helped me become a more effective pitcher and for that I will always remember him."
